Description

The OnePlus Watch 4 has now shown up on the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) database, clearing another important certification before launch. The listing, which mentions model number OPWWE261, doesn’t reveal much on its own, but it confirms that OnePlus is preparing the watch for sale in multiple markets.

EEC certification is a standard compliance step and does not reveal specifications, but it usually signals that a product is nearing announcement. This follows an earlier EMVCo certification and multiple leaks, pointing to the Watch 4 moving through final pre-launch stages.

In addition to the certification, which isn’t all that revealing, Sudhanshu Ambhore on X unearthed some of the key specs that were not disclosed in the document. We are looking at the same Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset from last year, a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with 466 x 466px resolution and a 646 mAh battery.

The size also remains unchanged at 47mm, but the body gains IP69 certification against water and dust, which is a small step up from the IP68 on the previous model.

One thing to note, though: Sudhanshu Ambhore says the watch will launch with Wear OS 5 out of the box, but the certification document says version 6.0, which seems more plausible since Wear OS 6 has been around for about a year now, so it’s unlikely for OnePlus to launch a brand-new watch with a two-year-old OS.
